Regulatory proposals for the European Parliament’s deliberations on the new EU legislation on iLUC (indirect Land Use Change). The regulatory proposals offered here for download were prepared for these discussions and have been dealt with in the EP. The strength of these proposals lies in the fact that iLUC would be tackled at the roots of the problem in a “polluter pays” manner – in countries where rain forest clearing and the conversion of carbon-rich land is practised.
